Assertive to Imperative
Assertive sentence সাধারণভাবে কথা বলা বুঝায় (e.g., "He is a good boy.") আর Imperative sentence দ্বারা command, advice, order, or request (e.g., "Do this.") বা আদেশ, উপদেশ, অনুরোধ, নিষেধ বুঝায় (Always speak the truth, Never tell a lie etc.)
সরাসরি Verb দিয়ে Sentence শুরু হলে "You" সাধারণত উহ্য থাকে (omitted). তবে Assertive sentence এ 2nd Person বাদে অন্য Person থাকলে (যেমন, I, We, He, She, They), imperative sentence করতে আমরা "Let" ব্যবহার করবো।
1. Affirmative Sentences with 'You' (Commands & Advice)
"You" যদি Subject হিসেবে থাকে, তাহলে ("You") বাদ যায় and সাথে থাকা সকল auxiliary verbs (like should, must, have to, ought to) ও বাদ যায়. সরাসরি Principal Verb দিয়ে Sentence শুরু করতে হবে।
Rule: Drop 'You' + Helping Verb + Base Verb (V1)/Principal Verb→ Start with Base Verb (V1)/ Principal Verb + Rest of the sentence.
Examples:
- Assertive: You should do the work.
- Imperative: Do the work.
- Assertive: You must obey your teachers.
- Imperative: Obey your teachers.
- Assertive: You should respect your elders.
- Imperative: Respect your elders.
- Assertive: You have to read the book attentively.
- Imperative: Read the book attentively.
- Assertive: You shoul speak the truth.
- Imperative: Speak the truth.
- Assertive: You should never tell a lie.
- Imperative: Never tell a lie.
- Assertive: You had better solve the problem right now.
- Imperative: Solve the problem right now.
2. Negative Sentences with 'You' (Prohibitions/ নিষেধ করা)
"You should not" or "You must not" বাদ যাবে এবং "Do not" or "Don't" দিয়ে Sentence শুরু করতে হবে।
Rule: 'You should not' / 'You must not' / 'You do not' → 'Do not' (or 'Don't') + Base Verb + Rest of the sentence.
Examples:
- Assertive: You should not waste your time.
- Imperative: Do not waste your time.
- Assertive: You must not run in the sun.
- Imperative: Do not run in the sun.
- Assertive: You do not play in the rain.

- Imperative: Do not laugh at the poor.

- Imperative: Don't make a noise in the class.
3. 'I', 'We', 'He', 'She', or 'They' দিয়ে শুরু হওয়া sentence
2nd person বা you বাদে যেকোনো Person থাকলে Let + objective form (pronoun এর জন্য) + principal verb + বাকী অংশ – এভাবে হবে
Pronoun Changes:
