Once upon a time there lived an ant and a dove in a jungle. The ant used to work hard from dawn to dusk to gather foods to survive. One day the ant went to a stream to drink some fresh water. But as he leaned down, he lost his balance and fell straight into the fast-flowing water.
"Help! Help! Someone please save me!" the little ant cried out in fear. He tried his best to swim, but the waves were too strong for his tiny body, and he started to drown.
Fortunately, a beautiful dove was sitting on the branch of a nearby tree and saw everything. The dove felt very sorry for the helpless ant. "Do not worry, little friend! I am coming to help you!" the dove called out loudly.
Quickly, the clever dove plucked a big, green leaf from the tree and dropped it carefully into the water right next to the struggling ant. The ant climbed onto the leaf with great effort and took a deep breath. Slowly, the leaf drifted safely to the dry riverbank.
